Privacy policy

What we collect when you send us an enquiry, why we collect it, how long we keep it and how to have it deleted. Written in plain language because a policy nobody can read is not a policy.

Who we are

The controller of your data

This website is operated by Taizhou Kuangshi Trading Co., Ltd., registered in Taizhou, Jiangsu, China. We are the party that decides what happens to the information you send us, so we are the party that answers to you about it.

We act as a business-to-business supplier. Our enquiries come from importers, distributors and wholesalers, not from consumers, so we do not run a membership scheme, a newsletter or a consumer database.

One sentence summary

We collect the details you type into the enquiry form, we use them to quote you and reply to you, we do not sell them to anyone, and you can ask us to delete them at any time.

Enquiries

What we collect and why

When you submit the enquiry form on this site, the following fields are sent to us. Every one of them is either something we need in order to quote, or something you chose to tell us.

Fields collected by the enquiry form Only what the form asks for. There is no hidden tracking field.
Field Why we ask for it Required
Name So we address you correctly and know who to follow up with Yes
Company Distributors buy on a company account; it tells us the market tier and the buying role Yes
Business email This is where the quotation and the reply go Yes
Country or market Determines the certification route — CE for the EEA, UKCA for Great Britain, ANSI for North America, or a specification-only supply for markets that require none of them Yes
Product category Routes your enquiry to the right product line Yes
Requirement detail The hazard, the job and the specification you need quoted against Yes
Standard or level required Blank is acceptable — describing the job usually tells us the level No
Quantity and expected annual volume Sets the price break and whether the programme is worth quoting from stock No
Consent tick box Records that you agreed we may use these details to prepare a quotation Yes
What we do not collect

No payment details — this site does not take orders or card payments. No ID documents, no passport or business licence copies unless you send them deliberately. No data from any other source: we do not buy contact lists, we do not scrape directories, and we do not run tracking scripts on this site.

Sharing

Who else sees your enquiry

Nobody, unless the quotation requires it.

We do not sell, rent or trade enquiry data. We do not add you to a mailing list and we do not run a newsletter. If you ask for a quotation on several product lines, the enquiry may be passed to the manufacturer of the specific product in order to obtain a price and a test report — in that case the manufacturer acts under our instruction and on our confidentiality terms.

We will only disclose information where the law requires it, for example a legitimate request from a competent authority. We will tell you if that happens, unless we are legally prevented from doing so.

Some of our suppliers and logistics providers process data on our behalf in order to deliver goods. They receive only the information needed to do that — a name, a delivery address, an order reference.

Retention

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry records for 24 months from the date of your last contact. That covers the quotation cycle, the production and delivery period, and the period in which a distributor might reasonably ask us to confirm what was supplied.

After that period the records are deleted, unless a specific business or legal obligation requires us to keep them longer — for example the tax and accounting records attached to a transaction that actually happened, which are kept for the statutory period required in China.

If you never place an order with us, the enquiry record still follows the same 24-month cycle from your last message. It is not kept indefinitely "in case you come back".

Cookies

Cookies and local storage

This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising scripts.

The pages are served as static files and the enquiry form is handled in your browser, so there is no cookie or local-storage identifier that follows you between pages or back to us later. Nothing about your visit is recorded against a unique identifier, because there is no unique identifier.

Your browser may keep ordinary cached copies of images and style files to make repeat visits faster. That cache lives on your device, is controlled by your own browser settings, and never reaches us.

Your rights

Deletion, correction and objection

You can ask us at any time to:

  • delete the enquiry data we hold about you;
  • correct anything that is inaccurate;
  • confirm exactly what we hold about you;
  • object to us using it to quote you.

Write to us and we will action it. Deletion requests are completed within 30 days. We may keep a record of the request itself and of the fact that we complied with it, which is how we avoid accidentally re-adding you.

If you are in the EEA, the UK or another jurisdiction with equivalent data protection law, you also have the rights set out in the GDPR and the UK GDPR, including the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. We would rather you asked us first, but the right is yours either way.

If this policy changes materially — for example because we start using an analytics service — the updated version is published on this page and the revision note below is updated. The version number at the bottom of the page tells you which version you are reading.
